Kyler Lang is a 30 year old photographer based in the
Squamish Lil'wat First Nations area. Originally from Ontario, he grew up snowboarding the small hills of Mt St Louis/Moonstone and started to fall in love with snowboarding and art from a young age. Capturing a moment in time that could not be relived was such an incredible way of expressing art so a camera became an extension of himself. Beginning his journey with photography in High School developing film and learning how to “edit” in a darkroom, Kyler soon realized that with editing and photography, he could express how his own mind experienced a moment and bring it to life to show others.

He attended Georgian College for photography and to be closer to the ski hill, the love of snowboarding and taking photos/videos thus grew exponentially. After some convincing from his professors, he perused his dream of moving to Whistler, B.C. to film and document snowboarding.

Since then Kyler has made a name for himself in the snowboarding community under the name Braincage, a snowboard crew turned local legends from the videos he created with his talented friends. They have been invited all over the world for snowboard events thanks to the creative direction that Kyler had a vision for.

Photography is his first love and thus, has a strict and high standard for his own work and curates his portfolio meticulously and is therefore, incredibly excited to share his art.
